Keynote with Mac, iPhone, and Watch

Can i use my phone as a hotspot to link my MacBook and watch to so i can control my mac keynote with my watch? I have a presentation this week at school and want to show off the power of Apple as we only use Windows, so i want to use my Watch to control my Keynote. So back to my question, can i use my phone as a hotspot to link my MacBook to and then control it with my Watch? I know you can do this if they are on the same WiFi network, but i don't have access to the school WiFi. Thanks
